Glad you think loyalty is stupid. Too bad we dont have more of it.

Loyalty is doing what Jackie Robinson did.

If FT was loyal he would have either never left or would have retired rather than play for anther team. This is loyalty when it is convenient and for show.

This needs to be in both threads just to prove that MotionMan isn't just in the wrong here, but isn't even a true 49'ers fan like he claims to be.

Based on your logic, Joe Montana was stupid for retiring with the 49ers and not the Kansas City Chiefs.

I think it was stupid for Joe Montana to retire "as a 49er". He could have just held a press conference (in the Bay area, even) to announce his retirement without the fake "as a 49er" 1-day contract B.S.

Are you saying that if Joe Montana did not sign a 1-day contract with the 49ers so he could "retire as a 49er", the 49ers could not have retired his number or honor him on the field?

Really? Someone better tell Hugh McElhenny.

If the question were, "Which person is more stupid, Fred Taylor or MotionMan," my choice would have been easy. I would have voted MotionMan more stupid in hopes to piss him off. Fred Taylor probably doesn't nef on ATOT so I doubt he would see it if I voted him stupid.

But as for voting which of those piddly little stances is more stupid? I'm just gonna call the poll stupid and not vote.

I am having a lot of fun with this. I am not pissed in an way and hope to get a 3-100 result.

It is funny how this issue has gone off the rails and i want it to get even more absurd.

Don't blame me for the poll. It was AMDZen's idea.

You are the thread starter. This thread and the subsequent backfire are 100% your fault.

This is what happens when stupid people argue about stupid subjects: eventually everyone else tells them to go sit in the corner and stfu.

This is not even the top ten thread backfire I have experienced. I am not sure why everyone is so butthurt about the subject, but, I am enjoying the show.

Don't forget to vote for me in the poll!!!

Is there a poll that would allow me to vote that AMDZen is extra stupid?

Why for telling him to put a poll on his original thread? I didn't start this thread and I wasn't going to start another thread for the same topic

I think it's ludicrous for a team to hire a former player for a one-day contract just so they can "retire as a member of said team." We get it; you're loyal to a team that wasn't loyal to you (or why would you have been traded in the first place?). But you don't need a big ceremony celebrating that fact. It's meaningless posturing. Just retire and mention how great it was to play for that team in your retirement speech. Retiring "as a member of a team I haven't actually played for in two years" is just a wee bit hollow.
