I had the ipad2 here for the first few weeks of owning N10. In mundane and "easy" tasks, it appeared faster than the N10 but was destroyed in SoC intensive tasks. Also the N10 wows every once in a while, Exynos 5 is desktop like for the brief moments it's isn't held down by software environment. All usage scenarios combined, ipad has the higher average and stable FPS whereas N10 is all over the place.

You do SoC intensive tasks on a tablet? ;)

So what tablet is faster?

No idea, I don't own an iPad or N10. I am just saying the N7 isn't really quick enough on the tasks I use it for (web, HD video). I want more performance than it gives me, although it hits the point of good enough much of the time. Really in al honesty that is what these low end devices are about....getting enough performance such that basic tasks like web browsing, video playback, twitter etc are perceptibly fast enough on minimal hardware. You don't compile code or transcode video on them so the fastest doesn't actually matter IMO, only if its fast enough for the task. The N7 is nearly fast enough but not quite. Web browsing is especially bad, I suspect it needs about 2-3x the performance it has before that would feel smooth to me.
