Hi all, my friend has two chips and was wondering which one is better for gaming. I'm thinking the 1.1 ghz but not sure if the cache will hold it back. I think its an celeron two with 128 cache. Thanks in advance guys.

So maybe i'll switch them around, maybe hopefully i can push that 66mhz bus to 100mhz from the celeron maybe that can edge it out a lil. Will i benefit more with the 1.1ghz in applications? Thanks

All celerons over 800Mhz are already on the 100Mhz bus. Given that, I would say probably the celeron by a nose if it's the .18 micron coppermine, by a mile if its the .13 Tualatin with 256k cache.

thanks for the info guys, probably saved me some time from switching the chips with the same power. But does 1.1 celeron benefit anything at all? applications or such? Thanks

Have you considered overclocking the PIII-700. I have one running @ 1.01GHz(144MHz bus) on a MSI 694T Pro board. Been running this way for a couple of years trouble free.

Nah the harddrive always goes corrupt when its overclocked and also the games freezes, so i believe the soundcard and harddrive does not like the fsb that high, even just a small overclock it freezes
