Which one is better, ATI 9600XT 256mb or 9800pro 128mb?

Fry's have both of them on sale this week.

Visiontek 9600xt with 256mb ram for 179.99 and 9800pro with 128mb ram for 199.99.

I know 9800pro is older but more powerful but does twice the ram on the 9600 make up for it?

Which one of these cards is the better value in term of running the new games coming downt he pipeline?

More RAM != Faster videocard.

Think of it this way. Imagine slapping 1 GB of onboard RAM on a Geforce 2 GTS. Sure, it has a lot of RAM, but is that a fast videocard?

Radeon 9800 pro is a MUCH better card.
