Which one is better : 680i or P35

Hi,
Anybody has any knowledge about the chipsets. Which one to buy? ABIT IP35 Pro or ABIT IN9 32x MAX or Striker Extreme or P6N Diamond?

If you don't need SLI then imo P35.

680i better for SLI. P35 better for low price.

MSI's P6N Diamond does not support the QX6850 yet. All ASUS 680 based boards do.

Thanks. I have the following options:
In 680i:
1. ASUS P5N32-E SLI
2. ABIT IN9 32X MAX WiFi

In P35:
1. ASUS P5K Deluxe WiFi
2. ABIT P35 Pro

Which one should I but. I dont havw plans for SLI nut not sure about future. I use 7950GX2 card.

Get the IP35 Pro and live a happy life! As for SLI, its only as good as the drivers... and thats usually not always good. Save yourself the time, headache and constant wondering of "why did I pay for 2 cards again?"

either of those are good P35 mobos so get the cheapest unlesss you have a specific feature need.

Intel chipsets just plain work. I'd go for them over anything from nVIDIA.

I'm conflicted between the Asus P5k Deluxe with WiFi and the Evga 680i.

This will be to power a q6600 G0 stepping, CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) RAM and an Evga 8800GTX.

My goal is to OC the q6600 to 3.0GHZ on air. Which mobo would suit my needs without a lot of headaches? I've heard of evga burning up RAM after a few months. I'm a big fan of stability.

I'm wanting to order today so any help would be great!

umm imo i would go with the p35 i would have gone with that along time ago but ive been impatiently waiting on the damn x38 just so i wouldnt have to upgrade for a while...i HATE my 680i i has been nothing but a pain in my butt!! trust me i would steer clear of that thing the new bios that has come out p31 has made it even worse...trust me dont do it...i acutally just bought my x38 today.....yey!!!

Thanks Tyler. Got the P5K delxue with Wifi. Should be good. Gonna OC my Q6600 to 3.0 and leave it alone.
