I've had this problem with iPhones and Gmail forever. If a message from an iPhone user has pictures in the body, the rest of the text after that picture (including the sender's signature) appear as attached TXT files when I view the message in Gmail from a computer.
I'm finding surprisingly little information on this when I search online, even though it has been around forever. I see this with messages from lots of iPhone users and with different Gmail accounts.
Is iOS failing to format the MIME multipart message correctly? ...or is Gmail interpreting it incorrectly?
You can reproduce this by sending a message from any iOS device that contains text before and after the inserted picture. Send to a Gmail address and view it through gmail.com on a computer.
