Which one first Cisco CCNA or CCDA??

What in the world is a CCDA? As far as I know the normal progression is: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE.

ccda is for network DESIGN,


ccna is for network SUPPORT.

I would recommend doing the CCNA first. It is far more recognized, as you can tell in this thread. However, what would you rather do...configure routers or design networks using Cisco's methodology. CCDA's typically make a little more money in the field, but CCNA's are probably a little more in demand. It all depends on what you want to do with the certification. Uhm, last i checked (like a year ago when i got my ccna/ccda/ccnp) you had to have obtained your ccna before taking the ccda test...

They can go hand-in-hand. They cover a lot of the same material. I would recommend taking the CCDA right after you pass the CCNA and feel comfortable with all the topics.

You do not have to obtain the CCNA before taking the CCDA exam. In fact from Cisco's site:

The Designing Cisco Networks exam (DCN 640-441) is the only exam required to achieve a CCDA certification.

At any rate, I would recommend taking the CCNA first because it will ensure that you have a broad overview of networking technologies.
