Which onboard RAID controller should I use?

I have a Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P motherboard.

First thing...does anyone know any reason I should prefer the onboard SB750 SATA II ports (6) or the additional Jmicron JMB322 SATA II ports (4) for my RAID setup (0 or 1, I haven't decided yet)?

Second thing, let's say I use the SB750 RAID controller, ports 0 and 1. Should I put my SATA II Blu-Ray/HD-DVD combo drive on one of the ports left on the SB750 controller or should it go on the JM322? I remember the days of keeping your optical drives off of the same IDE cable as your HDD, and I wonder if there are still throughput conflict issues.

I would separate the two since you have that option and put the RAID drives on the internal SB750 controller and then run the Bluray drive off of the JMicron controller.

I also remember the days of isolating your IDE CD-R burner on the Secondary channel so as to minimize any potential coasters.

You would think they have solved that with the SERIAL protocol but I would still do it this way.
