I´m gonna buy a new system but i cant´t buy a video card right now (it´ll be an upgrade for next year).

Should I buy:

a 780G mobo (to play a little) or

a 790FX mobo (an maybe a HD 3450),

until I can buy a HD4850?

I won´t Crossfire or Sli.

I see a contradiction there :)

Why can you buy a 3450 and mb but not a 4850?

What are you trying to accomplish with buying anything at all?

I think you would be best served by explaining your budget, which parts you need to buy, and what you intend to use the computer for.

If it's mainly a gaming machine why buy it now only to have it be gimped for a year?

I don´t have a computer, so i´ll have to buy everything.

I like games but i´m on a budget. So, right now, I´ll be using this machine to minor stuff (Word, Excel, etc.) and a little gaming. But I want´t it to be upgradable and become a gaming machine in the future.

Why I won´t buy a 4850 right now?

HD 4850: U$ 436,00
HD 3450: U$ 120,00

(These are the prices in my country)

Edit:

Mobo prices:

How about .. a 780G now .. cheapest
790 GX ... it ~ 10-15% faster video than the 780G ... if you have the money then a 3470
get a HD 4850 when you have enough money

I would get a 4850 now because all of the motherboards you listed are DDR2 and all new i.e. future AMD processors / chipsets will be DDR3 starting this fall I believe.

The 4850 should last until you next system in which you can use it.
