I'm in the midst of watching the complete UK series tonight, killing time while I clean up around the apartment for new year's eve, and I gotta say... the US version wtfpwns the UK version, imo, mostly thanks to steve carell's amazingness.

yeah i watched season 1 thursday, season 2 saturday and today season 3, i've never laughed so hard in my life. haven't seen the UK version, just speaking for the US version.

I don't have a problem with the type of humor. I love it. It's the fact that I can't understand half of the words that come out of their mouth.

I have yet to see the UK version but I'll be renting it here in the next couple days when I return some movies. That being said I still voted for the US version.

As am I.

The US version just stripped away a lot of the subtlety and humanity of the UK version, which is typical for US conversions.

I think it depends on which one you get into first. For me, I saw the US one first so I got to like the characters and the humor. Now if I see the UK one I tend to only see differences rather than any unique parts of that show's characters.

There really is no question that Ricky Gervais is a comedic genius, and the original Office is completely superior to the ripoff US version in every conceivable way.
