I think I pretty much have my widescreen LCD monitor search down to these three, but I can't make up my mind on which one. I think I just missed a sale at Dell
, and I have no idea when or if any of these monitors will go on sale in the near future (before Xmas), so these are the prices I have to go with currently:
Samsung 205BW - $304.55
LG L204WT - $352.56
Dell 2007FPW - $383.34
I do play games (mostly WoW), have a Radeon 9800 Pro, do not plan on upgrading my computer anytime soon, and am replacing a 17" LCD Hitachi that 4+ years old (1280x1024). I do not plan on using this monitor for movies or anything of that nature (at least not right now, don't know about the future, nothing wrong with having features you may use later), and I watch videos through an S-video hookup between my TV and video card. In other words, this is going to used for gaming and general computer use, nothing real fancy like photo-editting or anything of that sort.
I also want to keep this monitor for many years as I do not upgrade that often. So, which one? I tend to like Dell monitors/displays because they always seem to get great reviews, but I am open to opinions. TYIA for the replies
