Which of these two games should I play first ?

Ok, I made a visit to my local Gamestop this evening and ended up browsing the PC section. While I agree, they barely sell "any" PC games anymore they did have two gems that I grabbed. At least gems based on the reviews they receive and user reviews here on Anand.

Two games are...

Batman Arkham Asylum "Key/Mouse or Xbox Cont"
Mass Effect 2 "Have never even played the first one"

I picked these up at $7.99 each. Dont know why they were that cheap, but thats what they sold them to me for.

Which to play first ?

Arkham is FANTASTIC!

I've tried ME twice and just can't get into it...

I thought both games were great. I recommend a controller for Batman: AA.

Also you shouldn't have bought Mass Effect 2 without playing the second one unless you're going to pick it up now.

Yea, hard to believe they still have some PC games. A small amount however, but still. About 40 "newer" titles usually kept in stock.

Grabbed ME2 because I know a 3rd one is coming, and since I haven't played the first one yet, I should grab this cheap while I can for cheap. If they'd of had ME1, I'd have it too. But it wasn't in stock.

Yea, I have two Afterglow 360 controllers. On the box, it says "Dem Bones" ...what is that ? Says it requires internet.

I have all the S.t.a.l.k.e.r games, and couldn't really get into any of them. Played about two hours of the beginnings, and just couldnt get into it.

I love stalker so much. When anyone asks what they should play next I always mention it.

Even if the dont have it. LOL.

Two hours is more than enough to decide if someone likes a game or not.

I guess Stalker just seemed to have too much dialog at the beginning. Then it seemed like I never even got anywhere, and this was around the two hour mark. Maybe I just didn't go far enough, IDK...but the first two hours were very sub par to me. And that is SOC / CS / COP. I have all three of them. Of course reason is, if I have one game, and there are sequels or whatever, I pick them up as well. Just in case I ever have the need for the complete story.

But ok. Mass Effect 2 or B.AA ? Its a tough one. Probably should go with Batman and not play ME2 till I grab the first one.

You can buy, download ME1, and start playing in a couple hours.

arkham asylum is damn good. I played part of the me2 demo and I want to play through me1 before I play through 2 personally. The demo was great.
