AXDA2100DUT3C 2100+ 1733MHz 13x 266MHz 256KB (XP)

SDA2200DUT3D 2200+ 1500MHz 9x 333MHz 256KB (Sempron)

Which would you match to the following motherboards. (I already have both of the following motherboards, but I'm thinking of getting the cheap Sempron). Now which to match with which.

Epox 8K5A2+ with VIA KT266 chipset

Biostar SFF 210V with VIA's KM400A/VT8237 chips.

I currently have the XP in the Biostar with PC2700. I tried using the jumpers to OC the fsb to 333 to match the memory but it won't work. Probably cause there's no cpu voltage setting in the bios. I'm thinking the 210V should get a cpu with a default fsb of 333 and use the epox to exploit the XP.

BTW, the Biostar is just for some lite office work, 2D card games and phone modem to the Internet.

the sempron id imagine, its got a faster bus speed, and you can probably overclock the nuts off it

but i know the PR is higher 2200 vs 2100 but i think that the XP is in relation to the pentium 4 and the sempron is in relation to the celeron D, i could be wrong though

The XP's rated against the old Tbird, and the Sempron's rated against the Celeron D.

For most common uses like mentioned this thing is fine, however I think xps if found (more so on the net) may be a better buy for price/performance

If a 1.5GHz Sempron can be overclocked to a 400fsb then I'd get a clock of 1.8GHz.
That would be a little better than the 2100+ Tbred I currently have with a clock of 1.733GHz.

Unfortunately, the Biostar I mentioned above will only run a default fsb so I can't overclock anything on it.

As for the Epox, that has a practical upper limit of 333 for the fsb, so I could only have a chance by starting with a fsb of 266 and bumping up to 333.
So the XP may as well go to the Epox and the Biostar should get a cpu with a default fsb of either 333 or 400.
Since my DRAM is PC2700, the 400 fsb cpu is out.

Ok, so even if the Sempron can overclock well I can't exploit it. I may as well just buy cheap.
