Full specs are:

Qpack
Biostar AM2 6100
AM2 Sempron 3000+ @ 2.6
1GB DDR2 667
200GB IDE 7.2k 8MB
16X DVDRW
Floppy / Media Reader Combo
X1900XT 512MB on the way

Replacing the stock Aspire 420W PSU. Looking for one w/ modular cabling, $75 range, willing to push that budget a bit if necessary.

OCZ 520W - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817104155

Enermax Liberty 400W - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817194002

Removed from running due to reading several recent negative reviews on several e-tailer sites - Antec NeoHE 430W -http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103939

Cheers,

Trey

I've always had good luck with enermax, currently running the 620w liberty. Have had to RMA one in the past, but their customer service is above average, which is why Im still a customer. Are you planning on making any hearty upgrades to this system? Because if not, then 400w will be sure to be fine.

Only upgrades will be moving to a Seagate 320GB Perp drive and adding another gig of RAM.

Any other PSU's I should be looking at in my price range?

i think you pretty much nailed it all 3 are excellent PSUs!

Enermax and Antec are more household names as far as PSUs go but i'd feel totally confident going with the OCZ one and that's the one i'd chose personally.
but you can't go wrong with any of those 3!

i got the Seasonic 430 to replace the QPack's stock PS. the cables come out
on the same surface, but on the other side, if that makes any sense.

if i took the PS from the P4C system i'm on now, the cables would go right
into the optical drive.

anyway, nice system.

I completely understand what you mean... that should be another criteria for my PSU selection... I do have a shorter Lite-On drive, but the PSU length and cable arrangement could pose a problem in such a small case.

Now down to either the OCZ or Enermax.

According to the specs, Enermax has SLI and Dual Rail support while the OCZ does not... Does that make a difference?

I was leaning towards the Enermax, hope that 400W is enough.

I'll read up on that Silverstone, looks interesting.
