Thought I’d go for a prebuilt given the difficulty of getting all the parts I need due to the shortage right now and landed on two decent rigs for the price. I was wondering which one would be the best for games like RDR2/GTAV, and if there are any major bottlenecking issues I may come across with either setup.
CyberPowerPC - $950
Cpu: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Gpu: AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, 6gb
RAM: 16gb (model unknown)
IBUYPOWER - $1000
Cpu: Intel Core i7-9700f
Gpu: nvidia GeForce 1660 Super, 6gb
RAM: 16gb (model unknown)
Both setups come with about 500gb of SSD and some xtra hdd.
To specify my concerns I’ve heard that cores are more important for gaming performance than the thread count is, and the IBUYPOWER model’s i7 comes with 8 cores and 8 threads while Cyberpowerpc setup’s cpu has 6 cores and 12 threads so in terms of processing power for gaming it seems the IBUYPOWER’s cpu may come out on top. I’m wondering if this difference is enough to not go for the more powerful AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT on the cyberpower rig. Thanks.
