I want to overclock my PIII 700mhz with cB0 stepping to at least 933mhz. I will have PC150 RAM. I wanted to know which board would be best.
1. Asus CUSL2-C.......I have heard of some people having problems with this.
2. MSI 815EP Pro-R.......I don't think this has a fan on the chipset. Will that effect overclock? How hard is it to install a blue orb on it? How well does MSI overclock and how easily?
Thanks

My Abit SE6e is great for overclocking, I was running a PIII 800 at 875. I could have gone a lot higher but I only had stock cooling.I now have a PIII 1Ghz in the Abit and the 800 is now in my old Bx based system.I am not going to overclock the 1Gig as they run pretty hot as standard. With softmenu enabled you can set FSB speed and voltage over a large range of settings.

The boards I have experience with that overclock PIII's real well are:

#1 Abit VT6X4
#2 MSI 6309
#3 Abit VH6 - II
#4 Asus P3V4X

I have had alot better luck overclocking with Apollo Pro 133a boards than i815 boards. My current 700e ran (and still runs in the VT6X4) 980mhz (140 bus) on all the boards listed above. I could not even get it to run 933 on 2 different i815 boards (MSI 815 & Asus CUSL2).
