Which of these is faster?

Doing a little holiday shopping, will be buying 2 PCs

Debating between:

HP dx2400 Pentium dual core E2180
On this one I would upgrade with a new 2 GB stick..leaning towards this one for my parents, they have the space and are used to a tower, no WiFi necessary..unless it is slower

Asus EEE Box Intel Atom N270
I'm guessing that this is slower, incorrect assumption? Better for grandpa because he needs WiFi and it will be smaller on/under his desk

I want Windows XP (don't feel like retraining any of them on Vista, but I like that the HP comes with the Vista CD if necessary for the future)..any other Intel offerings that I should be looking at? Prefer to stick to bigger brands (HP & Asus, are two of my favorites)

I'd go with the HP. It's going to be faster, and probably have better support. Why is wifi necessary for a desktop? It's an option you probably won't really need.

The atom is slower and single-core.

Your parents don't really need dual-core but it's nice to have when some rogue application (like Flash in IE) starts using one core 100%.

The box lacks a CD/DVD drive, so you probably should go with the HP for both instead and just buy a $20 USB wifi adapter if either one needs it.
