 What PC is it going in, no point putting a GF4MX or Rad9000 in a P4 3ghz nor a Rad9700PRO in a Duron 1ghz!

;) Well you'll surely want DX8 compatability so that would mean a Rad9000PRO, Rad8500/LE or GF4TI card ... or of a DX9 Rad9500-9700 of course! Ermm, that link seems VERY limiting, you really should aim higher. You should be looking to spend at least $80 on a gfx card unless your system is VERY old or your needs VERY modest. The GF2 have pretty nasty image quality and are let down by things such as TVout, dual display and DVD playback, a Radeon or GF4MX are better choices, and 64MB is highly rec too.

Well, if you are limited to those choices and you have credit there, I would go for the first choice, the MX440. It is a much better choice than the lower priced MX440 SE's, as they have lower core/memory speeds, usually 250/330, whereas the normal MX440 comes clocked at 270/400. That extra speed on the "normal" MX440 will make a noticeable difference in your gameplay. I don't see any cards listed in your link that are hardwired for DX8.1. However, with your pc, the MX440 is a good choice, especially if you are not a hardcore gamer. The 440 should hold you over until you get a chance to get a new pc or upgrade.

I second the 440, it's ur best bet, I got one for my parent's computer p3 933 and they love it, it plays all newer games just fine for their purposes, upgraded them from a Voodoo 3 3500.

Well we know what kinda processor you have, don't suppose you'd care to tell us what the system is being used for?

Without any idea of your specific needs/requirements/desires it's difficult to make anything more then a broad suggestion as to a decent all around board.

;) Of those you list the GF4MX440 is by far the most superior, as said the full version is faster although the slower version is still decent if you need to save that little bit more. GF2 cards are slower and inferior in many non-gaming respects too. The Rage128 and RadeonVE are very old and slow although it does have good non-gaming attributes. The Savage2000 is decent again but no where near GF4MX440 and the drivers aren't very good either. The other Savages are still very inferior. TNT2 M64 sucks and is far worse than a GF1. Matrox Mill G400 is awful for gaming but it is very good in other areas. All in all the GF4MX440 is the clear choice.
