Hello all

I've got 2 mobo's here to use to try and overclock my Barton 2500 but I don't understand the technical end of things to do this. So I could use some help to please tell which mobo is the better of the two for the job.

1) ASUS A7V600-X
2) EPOX 8RDA+

I need something simple to try and learn how to do some of this stuff. I've read both manuals and it seems they can be overclocked through the BIOS ( if I"m not mistaken ). Do I have to up the voltage for the CPU and ram as well to overclock the Barton 2500? Is this hard to do?

I'm 49 years old and just starting to learn a little more about computers, I'm by no means great at it but I want to learn. Can you people help me out?

thanks in advance :):)

thanks so very much. I'm going to try this out early next week when I get a few more hours to myself so I can concentrate on what I"m doing.

I'll post and let you know how it went. :):)

Are you getting a deal on one?

You should also check out the Abit NF7-S

Good luck to you. :D

I bought both of these mobo's here on Anandtech and wondered which one was best to try for OC'ing. But thanks for the info.
