Yes, but that is no doubt because of the M.2 socket. I have no interest in that. Just quality and solid OC'ing.

I didn't have the rev 4.0 UD3, some prior revision, but mine blew up on me two days after clocking my 8350 to 4.4 GHZ. It took out the FX-8350 and a reference radeon 7970 with it.

Either board will do just fine. The latest rev of the UD3 is solid. 4.4 isn't a big overclock so you shouldn't be putting too much stress on the VRMs in any case.

8+2 power phases at 140W TDP and all solid Japan caps isn't adequate for a 'big' OC? Come on.

I'd go with Asrock
I did. It arrived DOA and caused me to cut my finger on the sharp, unfinished heat sink. Poor workmanship. I sent it back and went with the better made Gigabyte.
Btw, this is an old thread from back in October.

huh? When did I say anything was inadequate? I said either board would be fine.
My bad. I apologize. I must have read the "4.4 isn't a big overclock.." and mistook it for 4+4 power phase in my haste. I guess I was thinking power phase at the moment. Sometimes I'm in too big of a hurry.

'salright. Sorry you had problems with the board DOA. That kind of thing is a major headache.
