Which of the two...

I do have an AMD Duron system here waiting for an upgrade. I'm going to upgrade the motherboard and CPU (and other parts. I'm going to list the CPU and mobo only since the other parts are already decided upon). Now the two choices I do only have are:

a. Intel Celeron 430 + ECS G31T-ML
b. Sempron LE-1150 + MSI K9AGM2-L

In our area, they have the same price. So in terms of performance, which would fare better?
I use my PC for watching videos and officework only. Absolutely no gaming. Thanks and good day.

Sempron LE-1150. The Celeron is Core based, but Core is already heavily cache hungry. With so much cache clipped off, the performance of the Core architecture isn't enough for the 200Mhz clock increase on the AMD. They should both fare about the same in most instances. I doubt you'll see a difference between either. However I would trust an MSI board to last me longer than an ECS board.

So again, I'd choose the Sempron setup.

EDIT: You might get a better, more detailed opinion about which choice to make if you'll make a post in the CPU forum asking which is better, the Sempron LE-1150, or the Celeron 430.
