I've got an Abit AT7 Max2 board with a Barton 2800+, and 2GB of Corsair PC3200, but no video card yet. I plan to set this up as a Linux system, almost certainly Ubuntu. I won't be gaming or doing anything graphic-intensive. I'm a Linux noob and want to minimize configuration issues.

(I've used mostly ATI in the past, so I don't know nVidia well--but everyone says to get nVidia for Linux. If I was using ATI, I'd pick something like a 9600.)

What are your recommendations for an nVidia AGP card with DVI that would match well with the Barton and set up easily for Ubuntu? I want to get something fairly inexpensive, but with sufficient horsepower for decent graphics. If it can be found passively cooled, all the better.

Try a GeForce 6200. They're cheap and can easily be found passively cooled.
