Decided against KT266A chipset recently cuz of no integrated lan without raid and an the price of nforce mobo < KT266A + NIC

Ok so I'm gonna have a geforce4ti4200 so i wont be needing any integrated video.

The 220-D seems like a good choice then, but I hear it sucks for gaming. Can anyone tell me what's the best performing nforce mobo to get then for the integrated NIC and NO VIDEO! thx

If you're that insistant on not having onboard video (even though you can easily disable it), then go for an nForce 415 board. They have the same features on the nForce 420's but without the onboard video. The Asus A7N266-C is an awesome board but doesn't have onboard LAN. I've also heard good things about the MSI K7N415 Pro and Abit NV7-133R. They both have onboard LAN and no integrated graphics.

I would go for the 415-D chipset for more bandwidth on the memory. I just happened to check out what the difference between a 220 and a 415, the 220's memoryTwin Bank is 64 bit, while the 415 is 128 bit and w/o IGP, 420 is with 128 bit and IGP.

You can take a look at this article from AnandTech in the first paragraph talking about the 2 differences of the chipsets

for what it's worth i've built 2 computers on the abit nv7-133r mb. it's been great. no problems and a very full featured board for cheap. i highly reccomend it. whichever one you do get, be sure to get the new(ish) 1.05 nforce drivers from the nvidia webpage.
good luck
