which new dvd burner to buy?

What do you guys recommend for a new dvd burner? I was looking at plextor but have heard some negative things about the new 716A.

What do you guys recommend and are their any hot deals for them anywhere?

Plextor claims to have all the initial issues of the 716 resolved with the latest firmware. Some models have a $30. rebate that continues thru the end of March... So Plextor should be high on your short-list.

I got the px-716A for only $30 (after rebate).

Dell has it for 111 and free shipping.

I have a $50 coupon and plextor has a $30 rebate.

so $111 - $30 - $50 = $31 delivered 😛

Even without the $50 coupon $81. is the best deal I've seen on it recently. Heck I paid nearly that much for my 712 in October.
