Dilemmas... dilemmas. I just bought 3 netbooks/notebooks in the last month and now I don't know which to keep...

- Dell Studio XPS 13 (P8700, 9400M, 4gb ram, etc. 6-cell)
- Dell Mini 10V (N270, GMA 950, 1gb ram, 6-cell)
- Gateway EC1435U (SU2300, 2gb ram, 6-cell)

The dell mini 10v is hackintoshable, so it seems like a fun toy to keep. However, investment and use wise, I'm not so sure. I'm thinking the novelty might wear off over time as well. Also, the GMA 950 sucks, and flash player 10.1 has no support for it. However, this thing is light (2.5 lbs) and portable, so taking it to school would not be a problem

The EC1435U is the AS1410 rebranded, and with a SU2300 and the 4500MHD, makes it powerful and portable. I've been eying this one for quite a while. Slightly bigger, about the same battery life as the mini 10v, 3 lbs, and a lot more powerful.

The XPS 13 is my workhorse. P8700, 9400M, 4gb ram, makes it a replacement desktop (since netbooks are secondary computers to most people). This computer, although 5 lbs ish, is also portable. If this is to be my primary laptop, then I should probably keep this one.

So, the battle between the EC1435U and mini 10v... to keep one, or to keep both?

I would keep the XPS-13 for sure. As you say - the Mini 10V could be fun.

Taking this I am assuming he is keeping the XPS. Between those I would keep the gateway. Not much bigger, not much heavier but a good deal more powerful with the same battery life. Seems like a no brainer to me unless you really really want a hackintosh.

XPS is what you need just because it is very powerful then those two little babies.

XPS-13 for sure.

I like those CULV processors so I'd vote for the SU2300 Gateway... it's no speed demon, but I don't see you getting frustrated down the road with how slow it is, unlike an Atom :p
