Are you more interested in an arcade game experience or something closer to a basketball sim type game? I remember the EA Games being too arcady and preferring the sega style.

i'm kinda getting frusterated with the live arcade style...a lot of times, there is no strategy...just pick a superstar and start draining contested jumpers from everywhere.

When I played the sega games, height and strength had too much importance. I could use ben wallace as a power forward and he would dominate on defense AND offense. I believe I had rasheed and ben wallace and shaq on that team. Unstopable. Ben had a good jump shot. Heh. I assume they've fixed that but perhaps not.

I always played Live, since the Sega Genesis days, in fact, but gave 2k3 and 2k6 a shot along the way. Didn't like either, and I like real bball! I'd tweaked the sliders in Live 05 to get a pretty good simulation but still, I found it lacking. I simply don't like the mechanics of the 2k series, though. I'm not sure which "2007" version to get, though I'm considering this question for the 360.
