Which NAS should I choose? NS4300N or DNS-343?

I think the biggest question, how will you be using it? How many people will be accessing it? Business environment or home environment?

It's for my home. Just me basically. I have a small nas (300gb) that's only one drive and want to get a better, more expandable enclosure.

Well, heck...I'm looking more into this and I'm wondering if maybe I should just get one with drives already in it now!

I have two 250GB SATA drives and the plan was to buy two more, get a 4-bay enclosure and make a 1TB NAS for myself. But, now I found a Buffalo unit that is a 4-bay NAS INCLUDING 1TB worth of drives for LESS than what I would pay for an empty enclosure and two more drives! Hmm...I'm thinking that might be the way to go now...wouldn't make sense the other way.

Here's the Buffalo drive:

Thanks for the reply. But I sold all my old computer parts once I build my new system up. I would have to either buy all the components again or buy some used, old computer. I appreciate your post, but would rather stick with a dedicated NAS.

I'm really leaning twords that Buffalo. After I sell the two 250GB drives I was going to put in a bare enclosure, etc. I will actually only be spending around $275 for this Buffalo!
