Been outta the loop for awhile so Im not up-to-date on such info.

Im looking to upgrade my Creative 64mb Geforce2 Ultra. (Finally!)

Local EB currently offers GF4 Ti4600 cards from Visontek & PNY.

Knowing from past video card experiences, just because theyre the same GF4 model doesnt mean theyre all equal.
Some will overclock better than others.

So right now, which namebrand GF4 Ti4600 card is considered the best buy. Visiontek? PNY? OTHER? (excluding software bundles)

Only certain people make the required BGA packaged DDR RAM currently, or that is how I understand it. ;)

Most manufacturers don't even have their card up for sale yet. Wait a bit to see what is shipping. I'm sure that they will change the ram on the pcbs awhile after the initial run anyway when more faster ram becomes available.

Hehe it doesn't matter what ram is on the board if it can't utilize it.. remember the Ega GF3 Ti200 with the 3.3ns ram? It wasn't any faster or even as fast as most ram running at 4ns or slower.

2.8ns ddr memory is about as quick as you can get at the moment although 2,5ns has just been announced.
