Hi there,

I have been a bit out of the loop lately with the new DDR mobo's for AMD chips, so I have a quick question...

I am very find of MSI boards, first off, so I do not want anything but an MSI board. I see that MSI has the new 266A chipset boards out, but I am guessing these only support DDR memory and 266FSB chips, correct? If so, I want to make sure that the K7T Turbo2 will be able to take PC100/133 RAM and take either a 200 or 266Mhz FSB chip, both options of which I think it can do... but please correct me if I am wrong!

Thanks!!! :D

I don't think any of the MSI DDR boards have both DDR and SDR RAM slots. however, I used to have a MSI Board (MS-6330), and since i was low on cash i purchased's ecs's k7s5a. that supports ddr/sdr ram, and 100/133 fsb speeds. it lives up to my old msi board in every area except overclockablity. just a thought.

turbo2 will work fine for what you want. it takes pc100/133 memory and can run eithere a 200 or 266 cpu

OK, that actually sounds like what I want... I don't _need_ DDR support, but I do need PC100/133 support and 200/266 bus speed support as well.

Thanks guys!

Do you happen to know if this motherboard requires an AMD approved power supply? I currently have an older Inwin case with a 300w power supply.

Not sure what they mean by AMD approved anyways... do AMD boards require a special power connector?

TBC: No, they use a standard ATX connector... your 300 watt should be fine... I use an Antec 300 watt with my T-Bird 1.1Ghz and MSI K7TPro mobo.
