WHICH mSATA TO GET

Looking to upgrade my Lenovo X220 laptop. Currently it has a 320 gb HDD. Have slot for mSATA so would like to get a 120-128gb SSD to use as boot drive.
The current choices seem to be:
Crucial M500 75.95
Crucial M550 97.99
Samsung EVO 99.00
MyDigital BP4 72.99
Mushkin Atlas Value 71.99
Plextor M5M 99.99

Any one stands above the other or should I just go for the best value?
All thoughts greatly appreciated.

When I spent time looking at msata drives a month ago, the Samsung 840 evo msata seemed to be the fastest read/write performance for a little price premium.

You won't notice the difference, most likely. Still, the 840 Evo is a good choice, and if you rely on battery a lot, it idles fairly low without DIPM. The Plextor is roughly in the same ballpark, and performs better, possibly enough to notice, if you may run without TRIM (IE, most default Linux configs). If an extra half or more of a Watt if no biggie, the M500 will do quite well, too. The performance, in practical terms, of any of the listed ones is likely to be, "faster than you," making the tests mostly pretty bars to look at.

If I can save $20 and get a reliable drive I would do that. Any thoughts on the MyDigital BP4? Have kinda ruled out the Mushkin based on bad reviews.

They're OK performance wise, good on power consumption, and have held up fairly well in durability testing I've performed using Anvil SSD endurance testing (test to death) MyDigitalDiscount must have set up an agreement to OEM the drives from Phison. As I've seen an identical SSD from Taiwanese vendor, but with Phison brand (Phison also makes the controller). MDD has pretty good support.

Yeah, skip mushkin. Reliability is OK, but damn, if you do encounter any issues...what a pain.

Thanks for the info. Not trying to break any land speed records just would to get a reliable SSD boost for a good value.
