I went to blockbuster and rented 5 movies (Yes, even though it sounds scary, they exist all over the world).
I looked through their selection, and i actually saw 5 good movies! Seing as though the movies mostly were hollywood crap. But i picked 5 movies, help me decide wich one i should watch tonight! (It's 1am over here now (denmark)).

I was going to ask if you were a Communist after seeing your choice of movies, but fortunately your sig made that unnecessary.

The Terminator is good.

Hell, the choice they had of movies like, Van Helsing, xXx and other hilariously stupid movies didn't leave me much choice, regarding the fact tht i wanted something that inspired just a little bit of intellectual activity. And i've watched the movies like "Das Boot" and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas recently, these were the picks i made.
And btw, Stalingrad (Where you just might have picked up the notion that i just might be a commie) is actually about the germans fighting in stalingrad!
Do you even know "Goodbye Lenin" and "Talk to her"??? I mean, i've barely heard about them in denmark, and over here the promotion of movies doesn't happen nearly as much based on the monetary effect as it does in USA (I suppose!).

Never heard of Goodbye Lenin. Talk to her was labeled as an intellectual/artsy movie over here so it pretty much bombed (in this country) as far as I know. Sometimes movies like that do better on DVD than they do in the theatre, but that remains to be seen.

The Terminator probably isn't your movie if you want something intellectual. For an action movie it's good, but it doesn't really require much thought. 😉

goodbye lenin is cute. has that cute russian chick, ost was stolen off the piano practically though.
terminator is something u have to watch just to know the history of terminator. i found it kinda cheesy though.
talk to her is overrated arthouse foriegn film, i found it boring.
cider house rules is a VERY good book. it is only an average movie.

I've seen the terminator before, and i loved it! But on a more subtle level. It's the acting, the directing, the compositing of it all that makes it great. Just like Starship Troopers!

watch Terminator and then go get the sequels and watch em all!

The third one sucked bigtime! Too hollywood'sie. Allthough i moaned loudly when in the beginning you saw that nuke hit that city... Because baby, that turns me on! I'm totally obsessed with war, even though i'm a sweared pascifist...
