First of all, I've often decided to not pay the $12.50 to see a movie because I'd rather just rent it on DVD.

that'd only serve to aid in my argument. If there's only one movie playing in the world, guess which one everyone's gonna go see? If there's 500 playing in a city at any given time, not everyone will have time or money to see all 500 movies before they stop playing in the theatre.
