Which movie depicts the best/coolest FUTURE ?

I love sci-fi movies especially because they can show what the future can be like. Just to name a few, Impostor, Minority Report, Back to the Future 2, T2 (to an extent), etc. all showed interesting concepts from the future.

Which were your favorites and what did you like in it?

Hmm... I was looking for more specifics like... the weapons they used to knock people out in Demolition Man. ;)

I for one am hoping to have a more civilized future, not one where a peoples dominance is based on their firepower :)

T2's future sucks. Fighting machines that can think for themselves which just want to fight you? No thanks

I like Star Wars (if thats considered the future) - flying through space, fighting for what you believe in, using the force

I think Gattaca's future is scary, and probably closer to what's really in store for us compared to all the other movies that have been mentioned...

well put...i agree....the star trek future is a little bit too utopian.....realistically the one in minority report is a good bet for a rosy future...but otherwise blade runner should be a fair view.

I like the technology in Minority report.. but it sucks that advertising can be so intrusive..scanning your eyes all the time.

Welcome to the future. Got a firewall on your home PC? No? Put one on there and watch how often your various apps "phone home". Advertising and other media is already way more intrusive than most people think.
