Which Mouse

Well im looking for a new mouse i have been reading a few reviews and am currently considering:
Logitech MX1000
Logitech MX518
Razorback Diamondback Plasma Limited edition
or any better ideas you can come up with
I play games quite a lot, all sorts, mainly FPS and strategy and i spend a lot of time jst browsing the web so any advice ppl can give me on there mice would b appreciated.
Thanks

The Diamondback's and the 518's sensor are rumored to be functionally identical, but I don't know if that's been verified yet. One advantage the Diamondback has is it has true on the fly sensitivity adjustment, where as the 518 attempts to do this by toggling between three pre-set DPI modes. Most other differences can be chalked up to personal perference. Such as their shells, I don't like hand conforming molded shells as I think it tends to make a person "palm" them and aim with their hand/arm rather than using their fingers which are more precise. However I'm sure other people prefer the molded shapes (even though they are wrong 😛 ). Either one of these to are superior to the MX1000.

Out of those mice I would pick in the order of MX518, Razor, and then NEVER pick the MX1000. MX1000 is crap IMO.

But the best mouse I've used on my ages of progaming would be the Microsoft Intellimouse Optical.

Logitech MX1000 is the best mouse I have ever used, I use a Logitech MX518 at work and the MX1000 at home.

There was some problems with the older MX1000's with lag, mine doesnt have this issue. The only problem I had is the back/forward buttons didnt work in firefox with out some tweaking.

The MX1000 wasn't even designed for gaming, it was designed for people like graphic designers, so it's probably a better idea to get the other two you suggested. The mouse lag that Zolty is talking about is when the mouse gets lifted up and put back down (like when you reposition it), the mouse lags a bit before it reacts. I love my MX510, but I haven't tried a Razer mouse before, so I can't say anything about that.

With the logitech software installed you can choose to have 1-5 presets of DPI of your own choice.

where can a mx518 be purchased? seems to be hard to find.

Just wait a couple of weeks and it'll be more available. Newegg will have them in the beginning of May, which is right after my birthday 😉
