Hey guys!

after a switch from a 1080p monitor to 4K my mouse (1.000 DPI) feels less precise, which is really annoying when trying to click all the small buttons. I have 60 Hz activated, so that's not the reason for it.

What minimum DPI should a mouse have when using a 4K monitor?
Can anyone of you with a 4K Monitor please give me advice which mouse to buy?
Thanks in advance!

I suggest one of the Roccat Kone mice. No matter which gaming mouse you go with, you'll probably end up with one that goes up to 8200 DPI

For equal size, an increase in DPI in the display should be accompanied by a similar increase in DPI of the mouse.

If you'd use 1000 DPI at 1080P on the same size monitor, 2000 should be an approximate minimum.

Most mice are nowhere near precise towards the top end of their advertised DPI, so don't, for example, get a G400 thinking >1800 DPI is going to give you good precision, though it can do 3600.
