which mouse is better?

I recently bought a ms wireless intellimouse from office depot for $20, and I still have 1 day to return it. I initially wanted an mx1000, but it was too much bank for me, but I just found a great deal on an mx1000 for $45, and now I'm wondering. I'm not a hardcore gamer, but I like to play UT2004 sometimes and some other games as well. The reason for this question is that I've heard some complaints about the mx1000, although I'm not sure what they exactly were, but nevertheless. Should I keep the intellimouse or go with the mx1000?
