Right now I am looking at these phones because they are all $199 or less:
  • Moto G Stylus (2022)
  • Moto G 5G (2022)
  • Moto G Stylus 5G (2021)
I have these three phones queued up for comparison here...

What do you guys think, and why ?!?

None of those are great. The G Stylus 5G (2021) is probably a bit better than the others due to the Snapdragon 480 CPU - but that's still slow and it'll have limited remaining software updates.

The Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) is a much better choice for an additional $50. Faster CPU, more storage (512GB - albeit half is from a pre-installed MicroSD card), more RAM (8GB), more updates.

What network? I have tmobile, and good 5G coverage here. I also have the stylus 5G, and I like it a good bit. If 5G access wasn't great, I'd get the newer stylus.

The differences between the two processors is infinitesimal. No one would be able to detect a difference.

The first thing I would do with both phones is install a 1TB SD card, so the 256GB means nothing really.

The other specs are very close.

I'm not married to a network - I have lots of coverage here.
