Since the DTR A64 mobile cpu's are out and they are all unlocked, which Socket 754 motherboard WILL support changing the multi???

Are you SURE the DTR's are unlocked? Do you have a link to prove that, as I asked that and no one REALLY knew.

BUT the Albatron K8X800 ProII will allow you to change the multi. Right now it will only let you go lower then what the CPU is set at as the Athlon64's are locked from going up, but not down.

Yeah they are. I saw one in action about 10 days ago.
The mobiles A64's lower speeds when on the battery in saver mode exactly like the Mobile XP's.

Good to know there is a least ONE mobo out there that will let you change it.
Now just to find one that will let you go UP.

Well the only reason you can't go higher is because of the CPU, but I am not sure what would happen if you threw in a UNLOCKED one. Would it freak out/not post, or just open up ALL multi.'s that the bios has.

I am going to e-mail Albatron and ask. But I am sure I will get a canned "This board is not meant for Mobil/DTR chips so......."

The mobile chips are pinned the same they should work without issue.
I've been asking everywhere which mobo's are capable.
As soon as I find one I'm buying :)
