it would be better to go with 2600k but why do you want to wait for that board in particular?

What do you plan to run. No point in getting a $300 board if you are going to run 1 video card and little to no add-ons.

For 1 video card or 2 mid-range cards

If running 2 video cards

Both of those have heatsinks and heatpipes and work well. Just update to the newwest Bios.

if you don't care about price, the maximus iv is the top of the line asus p67 board. it was out of stock at a number of places. Are you going to be overclocking? if not, most of the features are going to be wasted on you. Marlin listed a couple good gigabyte boards. If you are looking at Asus in particular though, you could go with the p8p67 delux, evo or pro. Anandtech did an article comparing the the "Pro" vs. gigabyte's "P67A- UD4" if you want to read about their features and how they actually perform.

additionally, all of the other boards mentioned do support overclocking and do a good job of it. So unless you just want the maximus, i would suggest taking a look at the others because they will cost less and are generally easier to find.

Any of the Asus P8P67 Deluxe/Pro/etc. should be good enough for overclocking. It is just more about what features you want, or rather _need_ for your computer use.
