im building a friend a new system.

hyperx ddr433 512mb*2
p4 2.8C
9700 pro (maybe 9800 pro)
and wd caviar 80 gb hdd
i havent been paying much attention to whats new with p4 mobo's lately, so, which is the best one to get?
price doesnt matter, the more features the better i guess.

also, while reading the momory compatability article with p4 mobo's, for alot of them it sais
" We were forced to set the N/B Strap option to PSB800 instead of PSB533 to get the memory to work in SPD mode. This lowered performance a little bit, but the memory was stable at these settings regardless. "

what does this mean? do i have to boot into the bios to change this setting? if so, that would mean i need compatible memory?

P4P800-D go springdale!

answer to other Q: on the 865 and 875 mobos, theres a physical limitation that won't run DDR333 at 333mhz, rather only at 320mhz. So for the memory companies to get a clear result of compatibility, they had to use 533 fsb i guess..

whats teh big diff between the P4C800-E Deluxe and the non E? i just see the different raid (ICH5R with Integrated SATA and RAID 0 as opposed to Multi-RAID for ATA133 & Serial ATA...A Promise SATA controller) and different lan(intel the the E versus 3com on the non e). does this really matter?
