I'd say the DFI is "better", but DFI also tends to require excessive amounts of tweaking for stability unless you get lucky.

I'd go with either the Asus or the Abit AT8 myself.

The ASUS board has pretty good reviews - quite a few people have been surprised with the results/stability. I don't think you can go wrong.

As for ASUS, I like the specs on some of their boards, I just don't know what's up with them lately. Not to spread rumours, but i've heard some comments on many different forums regarding their stability as a company. Also, some reputable resellers that i've been buying from for years have stopped carrying their products. Makes you wonder at the very least.

Yeah right...

I installed my DFI board did nothing and it ran 100%. I played a couple games after the OS/driver install then started overclocking. Whenever you overclock ANY board regardless of brand you will obviously have to tweak things for stability.

Pardon my slight bias.

I bought a Lanparty Ultra-D for when i switched to PCI-e, & it was an absolute nightmare attempting to get it to work.
Running at stock settings, or even below them, i couldn't even get the OS installed properly
After an entire evening & then the next afternoon f*cking around with settings, i gave up & returned it.
I now have the Asus A8R-MVP, & using the same hardware, everything worked beautifully w/o any BS.

Don't try to tell me this is uncommon either, since you & i both know there are more issues with their boards in terms of getting them setup easily than any other company out there.
I do think DFI makes superb mobos, but they seem to be far pickier with RAM, etc.

Anyway, i don't ever want to discourage the buying of DFI hardware, since it's pretty obvious they make the best mobos for OCing.
