Which motherboard is better?

Is the Asus Model P4S800 SIS 648 Chipset 800/533MHz good for gaming or would the ASUS Motherboard 800Mhz FSB Model# P4C800-E DELUXE be better? The top one is cheaper, and I am going to have a raid 0 setup with two 120 seagates.

Also, anyone know if NEC dvd rewriters are any good? Thanx

As the 875 chipset is currently the all around top performer, the P4C800-E DELUXE would be the better choice if you can afford it.

If you can afford a second hard drive for a raid array, you should be willing to spring for the better mobo, which should be a higher priority imho.

Thanx for the fast replys. I guess I will go with the P4C800-E DELUXE then. The other board was on a diferent and cheaper model pc., which I hate to go the xtra money, but I guess its best in the long run

The last reply to my post I guess I was asked if i was getting an amd or intell with this setup. It is a p4 3.0 or 2.8 I am getting, havent made up my mind yet. I cant overclock and would be afraid to screw something up, (all i can do is install a power supply) hehe, so I would probably go with the 3.0 along with the mobo i mentioned. Thanks again for the good info.

Well, derekblankmccoy is just being a blankety-blank. No, he's not asking what you're getting. The mobos you mentioned are only for Intel processors.

As for overclocking.....
As an overclocking neophyte I can tell you that these new boards by Asus and Abit make overclocking a fairly simple matter. So don't rule it out.
