Gigabyte GA-K8N PRO-SLI nForce4 SLI

or

Asus A8N-E nForce4 Ultra

Both are essnetially the same price and I am pairing it with a XFX 6600GT PCI-E and WD 120 gig SATAII Hard Drive (I beleive both support sata II). so would it be better to have the ultra or be able to expand with a second 6600GT (which I probably would do)

I am in the same boat you are. From what I can tell both need a bios upgrade to support the X2. I would probably go with the ultra.

Just a thought, but you may consider the DFI nF4 Ultra-D. Great board; and since the 3800's OC so well, the DFI is a great pairing to really get the most bang for your buck.

check out monarch. they will update your bios and test everything if you go through their combo deals.
