I am about to put together a new system using an AMD Thunderbird 1 GIG or better with the 266 FSB. Which MB would you guys recommend? I have been dealing strickly with Intel up till now, so, I need all the help I can get. Needs to handle 266 FSB and preferrably be able to handle PC133 with option of going DDR later on. Not really looking to go with a Raid setup. I am running a Soundblaster Live, I have heard of some problems with that. Any help would be appreciated.

I have an ASUS A7M266, and it is really good. It does not have the PC133 option, but you can get 256MB of PC2100 DDR memory at Crucial.com for like $90. I know it has the Via 686B southbridge, but Via released an updated driver to take care of the issue with the Live soundcards. Besides that, I have a Live Platinum 5.1 and I don't have any problems, even though I have not installed the updated drivers. Hope that helps.
