I've tried..
MSI
ECS x2
Abit
Gigabyte
Shuttle

Nothing really stands out, except that I had no problems with my ECS boards. And sometimes felt more responsive than their counterparts:)

3 x MSI
2 x Abit
1 x Asus
1 x Epox
1 x ECS
3 x Intel

Edit: PS These were all on personal systems, not one's built for other people

MSI's were always pretty stable, but wouldn't overclock that well.
Abit, Asus, and Epox are overclocked like champs.
ECS was cheap, but kind of flaky.
Intel was the most stable out of all the motherboards I tried.

2x Asus-1 old overclocker (my first x86 mobo!), 1 P3 board that I didn't overclock
3x Abit- All good though 2 were KT133 (bleh), BX6-R2 was my favorite. :)
1x Iwill -KK266, awesome board to this day
1x Soyo P3 board, IDE controller died
2x Epox 8kha+, great, still in use, refurb 8k5a3+, great, just got it
1x Soltek, had a DOA, replacement works
1x Shuttle SS51, great little box, main system at the moment
1x Via Eden mini-itx board w/800Mhz C3, in use as home router, low power, tiny, more than enough for a linux router
1x Apple G4 ;) older one but totally stable

- Asus
- Abit
- ACorp
- AOpen
- Biostar
- ECS
- Elpina, Alton, Matsonic (PC Chips names)
- FIC
- Gigabyte
- Intel
- Mtech (now defunct/absorbed by Soyo)
- Microstar
- TekRAM
- Jetway
- Shuttle
- Soltek
- Tyan

Hmm, I think that's all of them. I have no preference except price and warranty, and I prefer AMD platforms. They're all the same, really,

Intel - Stable, but its like a Geo Metro, works fine, but thats about it
Soyo - Love it, but have weird problems (K7V DRAGON+)
ASUS - Good stable boards, heard new ones have good features, something they were never known for
ABIT - My personal favorite OC board.
Gigabyte - One or two of these, no problems
FIC - Crap, worst $30 board I ever bought

Asus - Good quality, sometimes has odd problems when overclocking
Abit - Good luck with them..good overclocker
Epox - Very good..stable, great overclocker
MSI - Dont care for them. Lots of features, cheap..., but flaky, always had stability issues, lackluster overclockers.
Soyo - pretty decent..have a TISU that I'm setting up next week
Gigabyte - pretty decent
Biostar - cheap, gets the job done.
Intel - stable as a rock
Shuttle- had one back in the socket 7 days...none since

PC Chips - the first PC in the house had this, a 386 motherboard. It worked, that's about it. I also had a socket 7 board from them; not a good performer, but that was probably due to the SiS chipset.

FIC - one board, a Socket A. Not much to complain about; it works.

Epox - had a few of their boards, from socket 7 to socket A. All were very good boards.

Asus - had a P5A; it was also a decent motherboard

Abit - I had problems with their KT7 board - had 2 in a row with bad IDE controllers. A KT7A I used worked good

Shuttle - AK35GTR, good motherboard overall. RAID and decent onboard sound.

I prefer Epox; I've had the most experience with them, and it's been good.

Gigabyte - nothing special
FIC - bad experience, but that was in the old days (K6-3 400 baby!)
Epox - KT133, AMD 761, and nForce2 chipsets: they were very good in all aspects (stability, performance, overclockability)
MSI - K7T Pro, K7T Pro2-A, and K7TM Pro: all stable, nothing special

Out all of 'em, Epox boards have treated me best, and they are thus my favorites.

2x Asus a7v133, a7v266-e haven't had any problems so far.
1xTruePower, I dunno what the hell model it is 366Celeron, onboard sound never worked.
1xAtrend board 533-700Celeron worked fine, onboard sound just cracked, other than that it was stable
1xAbit kt7a performed great so far overclocking, and pretty fast little board.
