None of these 2 deals can be qualified as "hot deal". Granted, both monitor are great..but the price is just.........
Why limit yourself to Newegg? Check out staples and our hot deal forum...plenty of good monitor deal going on.

Well, I'm not saying i'm getting one or the other from Newegg. I just used that as an average price per monitor. Niether words, for that price, which would you get? I'm looking for best price/performance ratio.

I would definitely go with NEC. About $70 price difference, I don't think the performance of Samsung can justify it. NEC is a VERY good monitor by any account.

The Samsung costs more because it is a better monitor.
It supports higher resolutions at higher refresh rates.
The Diamondtron tube is great.

I have one myself, in the Compaq P910 - $170 shipped last month :D

That NEC is a tremendous monitor, i have never seen the 900NF in action myself, so i can't vouch for it.

But the FE950+ is awesome. :)

Here is a thread with my experiences between the two. I went with the FE950+ because I was able to set it to deflect the earth's magnetic field because my desk faces north which causes some interference apparently that makes the corners look bad. Good luck :)

That's a good price for the NEC FE950, Dell has it for $349 less some coupons (either $20 off or 10% off) but I think you'd still have to pay for shipping.
