Which monitor?

Decided I'm going to save up for a nice monitor. Currently I have a triple monitor setup, (1x 17", 1x 19" and 1x 15"). The 19" only really supports 1024x768, and I'm wanting a little more. So, I started looking around, and I'm stuck between two monitors.

1.) The Dell 2001fp. Everyone knows what it is, so I don't really have to explain it. (An LCD, 20" viewable, 1600x1200 max and optimal, 16ms response time, etc.) Somewhere around $750

2.) Viewsonic P225FB 22" Perfect Flat CRT Monitor. 20" viewable, 2048 x 1536 max res., 1920 x 1440 optimal res. 68.4 lbs. $605 shipped from newegg.com

Both are 20" viewable size. Ignoring price, and also ignoring the fact that the 2001fp is an LCD, which one would you rather have? I'm really drooling over the 1920 x 1440 optimal resolution on the CRT, plus I know the colors are going to be awesome on it, and great refresh rates...

What exactly are the advantages of the 2001FP? Obviously I don't want to take a 68 pound CRT monitor to LANs, but I have a bunch of smaller ones to take, so that won't really be an issue.

So.... What would you choose (and why)?

Disregarding price, I would definately take the LCD. The crispness of an LCD will slaughter any CRT in my opinion.

As for that CRT, it's a damn good monitor for the price. The things you need to watch out for the most is going to be size. Make sure you have the depth and the desk strength to hold it. If transportation of it isn't going to be a problem, the CRT is not a bad choice.

But, again, if price isn't an issue, I'd take that LCD any day of the week. Ask yourself how cool it would be to be able to take that to a LAN?
