Which Monitor to Buy?

I've been looking around for a good 19 inch monitor to buy that will be used for gaming as well as school work. From what I have seen, LCDs are supposed to have much crisper text. However all of the nice LCDs with a low response time and DVI are too expensive compared to CRTs. So I was wondering which of these monitors would be the best to get. Or are there LCD monitors out there for around $300 that can compare to these:

SAMSUNG SyncMaster 997DF-T/T 19" DynaFlat CRT Monitor

NEC/MITSUBISHI FE991SB-BK 19" SuperBright Diamondtron CRT

ViewSonic G90FB 19" PerfectFlat CRT Monitor

ViewSonic P95F+B 19" PerfectFlat CRT Monitor

hmm i was going to purchase the G90FB 19" in 2 weeks time, but having just looked at the specs and colour of the P95F+B 19" for only $20 i may well go for that instead!

It looks like the Samsung is a non AG model, so it shouldn't have damper lines. Out of those, personally, I would go for the NEC. I just got their 22" FP2141 and it's awesome.

🙂

Another vote for NEC here. I've got the FE2111SB which is Diamondtron too and love it. I don't notice the wires at all and the SuperBright button and Naviset software are handy.
