Which monitor to buy for my computer and uses? 27"

I am looking at a new monitor 27" for ~$300 or less.

I have a Core I5 3750k @ 4.4ghz
7850, 1.1ghz
120gb SSD
2 tb extra drives
Blu-Ray burner
...

I am using this for software development for windows, ios, and android. For playing games like BF3 and skyrim. Then lots of general stuff like watch stuff on Hulu, Netflix,...

I do see there are some 2560x1440 on ebay like catleap which would be very nice for development. But I like refresh rate of at least 80 for FPS gaming, as 60 fps is still choppy. I have a feeling that the 7850 would really struggle on BF3 at it's native resolution, how would it work at half resolution like 1280x720, or how would it look at 1920x1080? I do run most stuff on LOW and AA off so that things are easier to see so it's not super taxing.

also 120hz for 24fps movies would also be nice.

If that won't work other recommendations?

If you can wait, Overlord Computer should have a 120hz capable 27" 2560x1440 later this year.

I read that the Catleap monitors can overclock to 100hz or something like that.

Half resolution would be great, but nVIdia has refused to support that feature. The image will get interpolated up to 2560x1440 and look terrible.
