Which monitor out there with built in speakers is the best?

I am sick and tired of the wires.

My temporary fix is using my 42 inch tv as a pc monitor and it works well but it is too big and want a regular pc monitor instead.

Wrong forum but, in general, you're looking at a case of "lesser evils." There aren't any monitors with good built in speakers.

Most monitors that have speakers do not have a decoder that can run off of an HDMI cable/signal. It usually involves running another cable for the speakers.

also, you can buy logitech 2.1 pc speaker/sub combos for $50 which are surprisingly good.
wires are a necessary evil -deal with it.

Why not just bundle the wires together with the one that comes out of the monitor?

Agree with Magnus except that this is the correct forum. Monitors are peripherals. So are speakers. Having said that, why not checkout wireless speakers?

I may have to go to the extreme and bust up some drywall to drop the wire behind to hide it all.
It is a total rat maze of wires under my desk.

Rather than bust up the drywall, get a length of PCV pipe and use it for a wire conduit. That would neaten things up a bit.

^^ i second the post above mine.

you can paint the pipe as well to hide it. you can also buy semi-soft pipes designed to hold cables, they have a slit on the side (which is screw-like, so stuff doesnt fall out) which allows you to just slip in the cables when you need.
